Harmony on the Lakes in Canton GA

Situated right in between Canton and Holly Springs, the neighborhood of Harmony on the Lakes is one of the largest subdivisions in Cherokee County. It offers living arrangements for singles, families, as well as retirees. The neighborhood has a variety of residences including townhomes, ranch style homes, and medium to large single family homes. Multiple nature trails are sprinkled throughout the neighborhood, giving the ability to run or walk around the main lake and throughout the quiet nature-filled areas of the subdivision. The neighborhood is contained between Hickory Flat Hwy (State Rt 140) and Hickory Road. There is easy access to highway 575 three miles down Hickory Flat Hwy. The town of Hickory Flat is less than two miles in the other direction and Northside Cherokee Hospital is within several miles also. The Canton Marketplace is also within just a couple miles drive and offers all major shopping that would be needed. There are a handful of restaurants within the local area and both Woodstock and Canton downtown areas are within a short 15 minute drive from the neighborhood. Many of the residents have relocated to Harmony on the Lakes from other places within Georgia or from out of state to enjoy the community-based family lifestyle that can be enjoyed here. Downtown Atlanta is a short 40 minute drive away and the Atlanta airport is less than a hour away. The neighborhood has an active activities manager and newsletter letting residents know about the variety of events and happenings that are always coming up.

Every holiday has a presence in the neighborhood with lighting, parades, and decorations all over. There are currently new homes still being built, although 90% of the neighborhood is already built. It was first started in 2004 and every year new homes have been added. The neighborhood is part of the rapidly-growing region of Hickory Flat, Woodstock, Canton, and larger Cherokee County. Although new homes are still being built, the diverse population seems to be moving in all the time and real estate sales don't show any signs of slowing in this neighborhood.
